Mr. and Mrs. Henry lluessau, of
Garden City, L. I., were guests for several
days this week of the former's
sister, Mrs. Thomas Ancrum. Mr. and
Mrs. Ancrum entertained with a
bridge supper in honor of their guests
Wednesday evening. Covers were
laid for twelve and in the bridge game
which followed supper the score
prizes were won by Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Shannon and Mr. Ancrum. The
hostess was assisted by her daughter,
Miss Louise Ancrum.
Named as Vice-President
At a meeting of the Carlisle Literary
Society this week Frank M. Richbourg,
of Camden, was elected to
serve as vice-president for the second
term of the school year. Mr. Richbourg
is a senior at Wofford college.
He has taken an active part in extracurricula
activities since he has been
on the campus and has consistently
appeared on the Dean's honor list.
Entertained at Bridge
At the bridge party which Mrs. Donald
Morrison gave Wednesday afternoon,
Mrs. Jack Whltaker, Jr., Mrs.
John Villepigue and Mrs. James Porter
played with the regular players
of the hostess' club. The house was
decorated with greens and flowers and
after the game a tea course was served.

The management of the Kirkwood
course will take drastic action against
trespassers in the future. The golf
course is distinctly a private area
and as such can bo barred to objoctiouubla
individuals.
Stray animals running at large and
damaging the course will be destroyed.
