Hamilton was pronounced dead at 134:19 a. m. (CST). *Joe Palmer, Hamilton's partner in the slaying of Orowson, preceded Hamilton in the chair. Palmer had maintained that lie killed Crowson because he hated him, declaring that Hamilton's bullet went astray. Crowson was shot to death when Clyde Harrow and his reckless consort, cigar-smoking Honnie Parker, freed Hamilton from a state prison farm at Eastman, Texas, in January, 19144.
