Sudden Summons

Mr Arnold uppeared to he In perfect
health and Monday morning while
preparing the bus to bring the children
to the rural districts to (.he high
school building he dropped dead Just
before entering the bus for the trip.
Mr. Arnold was 56 years old and prior
to his residence in Kershaw during
the lust ten years, he had livdH in
ClreeiiYllle county.
He was a member of the First Baptist
church of Kershaw and a member
of the Junior Order of United
American Mechanics. Funeral services
were held at the FlrHt Baptist
church Tuesday, the Rev, J. M, Neal
and the Hoy. It. R. Tucker officiatingThe
Junior Order wus in charge of
the hurial services.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his widow,
who was Miss Bessie Lee 1'?1 grim

Hamilton Put To
Death In Chair
Hunlsville, Texas, May 10.?Raymond
Hamilton, braggart southwestern
desperado, wept to his death in
the electric chair at state prison here
early today for the murder of Major
Orowaon, prison guard. Hamilton was
pronounced dead at 134:19 a. m.
(CST).
*Joe Palmer, Hamilton's partner in
the slaying of Orowson, preceded
Hamilton in the chair. Palmer had
maintained that lie killed Crowson
because he hated him, declaring that
Hamilton's bullet went astray.
Crowson was shot to death when
Clyde Harrow and his reckless consort,
cigar-smoking Honnie Parker,
freed Hamilton from a state prison
farm at Eastman, Texas, in January,
19144. Harrow and Honnie were later
shot to death by officers in Ixvuisiana.
Lion Tamer Succumbs To Bites
Monterey Park. Calif., May 12.?
Harinan Ziogler, 45, died today at
the (Jurfkdd hospital of Injuries received
in a vicious attack of 15 lions
he was training Thursday at a farm
in El Monte, California.
Ziegler was set upon by the beasts
when lie stumbled over a stool. He
was clawed severely on the arms, j
head and nock. Attendants drove the
lions away with whips to rescue him. i
