Mrs. Tadlock and Gaither Tadlock, the brother, said the pistol accidentally dropped from the seat of an automobile in which the four were riding yesterday and discharged, Hazel Tadlock, they explained, -was carrying the weapon to kill hawks that had been bothering chickens in the neighborhood. . I found a number of beds in which very good quality of potatoes were used for seed. However, the plant crop this year is only a/bout HO per cent of that of last year, Georgia was unable to supply the demand last year and with the | increasing acreage* this year, good plants are going to be extremely hard to get. "The Extension .Service is planning to place a man in Georgia to see that orders are filled from beds which have been inspected for diseases and for stock true to type. Please make every effort to get in touch with your growers and have them place their orders with you. If you will send the orders to me, I will see that they are placed with our representatives in Georgia who will endeavor to secure only the very best plants. "This is not a money-making scheme.. As you know we are simply trying to get the best plants available for our growers at the most reasonable price. Assure your growers that the price paid by them will be the price charged by the plant growers ami that there is no middle man connected in any way whatsoever with this plan. "A number 'of plant growers have already contracted for a large part of their crop and in order, to get plants pulled at the first of the I season and of 'best quality, it will be necessary to rush these orders J so our man may bo able to have, them sent out promptly.
