S. C., Friday, Ocj. 31, 1921. The Chimin I.- tl thU V.IM-U giving considerable apace to the Clcmsou ('ollege controversy giving both the college and the students vide of the unfortunate ufTair. Many Camden pan -it . ;t: r affected in the so railed strike and without one exception they uphold the boys in the course they timk. While making proper allow niU'c I 'M the judgment of a 1;hk? bodV of young men who have not reached maturity, we cannot believe that all of the several hundred who went on strike are deliberate falsifiers as the Chan-son report would make .us be lieve. We heartily endorse the action taken by the Camden parents at a inci ting held Wednesday evening and we h,0p6 that other county seat towns will join the Camden people in an effort to have the whole affair in vestigated and get at the real trouble. It looks to us like Holohan wis mmle the goat of the whole affair in an effort to save the jobs of men higher up. v Washington special of October 25 to the Columbia State: Cole L. "Mease, Democratic nominee for the senate in South Carolina, is declared by the Association Against the Prohibition Amendment, in a pre-election bulle tin today, to be "unsatisfactory" to that association. Representatives Dominick, McSwain, Stevenson and Fulmer, likewise are declared to be unsatisfactory. Inasmuch as the con gressmen-elect from the First and Second districts have yet to make a record in Washington, no reference to them was made. According to the bulletin, voters are urged to support _Uui?national Democratic ticket inas much, as it alleged, the Republican organization is controlled by the Anti-Saloon league. Inasmuch as Mr. IIlease has not yet made his mark in Washington, it caused surprise here that he should have been proceeded against inasmuch as others, as yet unknown, were omitted. Henry C.
