When the woman asked, "What will we play for?" Illiss replied, "I will stake my life against yours." The wrecked day cars were tilled with dead and Injured and the rescue work was accomplished with great difficulty. Some were taken to the Knoxvllle General Hospital and others to their homes or the homes of friends. -> A local undertaker had 1">0 cots^jn readiness at the Munson street crossing, where the- dead and Injured were removed ; from the train. Two day cars were crushed on the i east hound train between the baggage ? car and the slepeors. In one coach only I one person escaped with lits life.
