I did not know hut what he wan going to strike me any moment, until be raised his hands and said. "Oh. Hrother llolley, X did not mean to say that you had told mo a falsehood, but that Ton hnd misconstrued my motive." 1 said to him, "l>r. Ilobsou, you can not call mo a liar, sir."
