MISS CURETN HONORED WITH LOVELY PARTIES One of the lovlie^t and most enjoy able parties given for Miss Cureton, bride-elect was the bridge party of six tables and miscellaneous shower or. Saturday afternoon given by Miss Tommy Guthrie, who will bo a brides maid in the Cureton-Sheorn wedding Thursday evening. For this occasion the Guthrie Homo was thrown en suite and most attractivly decorated in a profusion of mixed garden flow ers. High score was won by Miss Helen Savape and low score by Miss Willie Haile. After refreshments were served which consisted of ice cream and cake in the wedding colors, a special de livery boy came with a huge box for Miss Cureton filled with many useful and attractive gifts brought by the guests The following guests came in after the card games for refreshments: Mrs. J. B. Cureton, Mrs. Willis She om, Miss Drue Baxley and Mrs. S. C. Other interesting affairs that will be given honoring Miss Cureton, Mr. Sheorn and the bridal party will be t lie buffet supper on Tuesday even ing given by'Mrs. Charlie Green and Mrs. Willis Sheorn at the former's home. 'IHiesday morning Mrs. DuBosc Blakeney, formerly Miss Frances Bis sel honored Miss Cureton with a bridge-luncheon at the home of Mrs. F. D. Blakeney on Fair Street. After the rehearsal Wednesday evening Miss Sara DePass an attend ant in the wedding will entertain the bridal party at her homo on Fair street. DuBOSK Of much interest to their many friends is the announcement of the marriage of Miss French Virginia Coward and Leon Ernest DuBose, which took place Saturday, June 10, in Camden, the Rev. C. F. Wimberly, pastor of the Methodist church, per forming the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the late James Marion Coward and Mrs. Coward, and has a host of friends whom she has won by her charm an<T personality. She attended Bethel cot lege, Hopkinsville, Ky., and for past several years has been one of Sum ter's leading business women. The bridegroom is the son of E. M. DuBose of Timmonsville, and is a progressive merchant of that city. Immediately following tho cere mony the couple left for a ljjotor trip through the mountains of North Car olina, after which they will make their home in Timmonsville. ?
