He was a lifelong resident of Clinton, a trustee of Friend ship AME Church and a retired employe of the U. S. Post Office, Clinton. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Drucilla Wallace; and two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Randall of Fort Dlx, N. J., and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Stewart of Chicago, Illinois. COLUMBIA - Mrs. Metta Workman Quattlebaum, 76, of 44 Garden Springs Road, died Monday In a local nursing home. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Earlewood Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. James G. Jennings. Burial was In Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas W. Quattlebaum Jr., Joel Edward Quattlebaum, William Allen Quattlebaum, Millard F. Quat tlebaum, Roy Workman, Jr., Curtis Black, Frank Hughes and Moody Meetze. Mrs. Quattlebaum, widow of William Paul Quattlebaum, was born In Clinton, the daughter of the late James Mason Workman and Leila Workman Young. She was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church and the Eliza beth McDaniel Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Black; five sons, Thomas W., Paul J. and Joseph W. Quattlebaum of Columbia, W. Allen Quattle baum of Atlanta and Ralph C. Quattlebaum of Washington, D. C.; a sister, Mrs. Belle Scott of Clinton; and two bro thers, Lewis and Ed Young of Clinton. Dunbar Funeral Home, was in charge. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the lajb Ebb and Ella Langley Lynnf she was a former resident of Mountain View Community, Greenville County, and a member of Locust Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday at Wood Mortuary, Greer. Burial was in Locust Hill Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Sullivan GREENVILLE - Mrs. Para Lee Sullivan of 217A Maloy Street, died Sunday, October 25. She was a sister of Mrs. Betty Hill of Cross Hill. Other survivors Include a son, two brothers, nine grand children and five great-grand children. Funeral services were held Thursday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with burial in Pinedale Memorial Park. Miss Bryson CROSS HILL - Miss Leila Agnes Bryson, 83, died Wednes day, October 28, in Clinton. A native ofCrossHill, daugh ter of the late Willie H. and Betty Leaman Bryson of Cross Hill, she was a member of Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church. Surviving is a brother, Henry S. Bryson of Cross Hill. Funeral services were held Thursday at Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Morgan GRAY COURT - Mrs. Reba Stokes Morgan, 44, of Route 2, Gray Court, died Monday, October 26, in Simp son ville. She was the stepmother of Mrs. Patsy Brown and Willie Mor gan, Jr. both of Clinton. Other survivors Include three other stepdaughters, three oth er stepsons, three sisters and four brothers. Students home for the week end included; Miss Lynn Na bors from Wtnthrop and A1 Shouse from USC. Miss Martha Pitts of Rock Hill was at home with Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Pitts for the week end and went to Atlanta on Tuesday for the wedding of her niece Miss Sallie Pitts. Miss Claudia Johnson spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. Texie Johnson. Shady Grove 4H Club will meet Thursday November 5th at 4 o’clock at the Clubhouse. Brodus Bledsoe remains ill in Bailey Memorial Hospital. March Of Dimes Meeting Tonight In order to form a working chapter of the National Founda tion-March of Dimes for Lau rens County, a group of inter ested people will tfieet tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 at the Com munity Room in the new City Hall. The purpose of the chapter will be to meet several times during the year to plan the work of this county in the area of patient care for polio, public education as it relates to the latest findings in preventing birth defects, and to approve the disbursement of funds col lected during the annual March of Dimes campaign each January. It is hoped that the Laurens County Chapter can expand the services of the National Foundation to include such things as clinical aid to low- weight babies and corrective surgery for those with signifi cant birth defects in the county. These services and others are available in Charleston through the cooperative efforts of the National Foundation-March of Dimes and the South Carolina Medical College at Charles ton. Anyone who is interested in this effort is cordially invited to attend the meeting tonight. Mr. Frederick P.
