Mrs. Edna Heaton and Jean ette visited Mrs. Mattie Vee Heaton at Self Memorial Hospi tal In Greenwood last Thursday. Troy Todd and son, Tommy of Claxton, Georgia spent the week-end with his wife, Mrs. Troy Todd and daughter. Leon Hedgepath of Atlanta, Georgia spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Bertie Hedgepath. Week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. David Owens was Mrs. Wanda Brown of Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wooten and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Woot en and son, Cecil, spent the week with S.F.C. and Mrs. Jimmy Wooten and family in St Roberts, Mo. prior to his leaving for Viet Nam again. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. James Laney and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hooper visited their fa ther, Jessie Laney, at Bailey Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Gar ner, Jr. of Chester and Mrs. Myrtle Whitsel of this city visited their sister, Mrs. Lessie Carr in Aiken over the week-end. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. David Owens on Monday were Mr. Henry Pruitt, Sr. and Mrs. Katherine Till son of Spartan burg. Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Adams of Greenwood visited Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Adams, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pruitt and family of Ninety-Six spent Sunday afternoon with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pruitt Mr. and Mrs. Gene Floyd and family of Greenwood spent Sat urday with mrs. HALLOWEEN PARTY The Life Liners of the First Penticostal Holiness Church will have a Halloween Party, Saturday night, October 31, be ginning at seven-thirty at the home of Miss Cheryl Heaton. Everyone come dressed In Halloween costumes. The Girls Auxilary of the First Penticostal Holiness Church will meet on Tuesday, November 3, at seven o’clock p.m. at the home of Miss Susan Heaton on Gordon Street. MEETING A special young people’s eeting will be held on Wed nesday night, October 28, at 7:00 o'clock at the Church of God of Prophecy onNorthSloan Street. Larry Turner of Batesburg, the Church of God of Prophecy Youth Director for the state of South Carolina will be the guest speaker. The public is cordially In vited to attend. The Rev. Raymond E. Du vall is pastor of the church. HOMECOMING The Church of God of Pro phecy on North Sloan Street will observe Homecoming on Sunday, November 1st with all day services. Sunday school which begins at 10 o’clock then worship service at 11 o’clock. Dinner will be served at 12:30 and everyone Is asked to bring a well filled basket. The sing ing will begin following dinner and then Sunday night worship services. The pastor, Rev. Raymond E. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pruitt of Ninety-Six visited his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pruitt Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wind sor visited their daughter, Mrs. Mildred Brazill at the Fort Jackson Hospital where she remains ill. Mrs. Ruth Leopard and Ru de 11, Dena, Clifton Jr., Eu gene and Ruben Heaton visited Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Watkins in Greenwood, Monday after noon. Mrs. B. B. Stroud spent the week-end with her sisters; Mrs. Lula Willard, who Is seriously 111 at the Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union and also Mrs. Ariette Bagwell also at Union. On Saturday Mrj. Shirley Robertson and son, Scott of Greenville visited her father, L. C. Heaton, and also Mrs. Sara Frances Heaton.
