Mr. and Mrs. Hamp McDaniel spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. N. W. McDaniel and his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. McDaniel at Beech Island. Mrs. J. D. Jeans of the Pres byterian Home, Summerville spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Crews. S/Sgt. Robert C. Uldrick will leave Thursday after a 10 day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Uldrick. He and his mother spent last weekend in Charleston with his sister and her daughter, Mrs. Paul Oliver and family. He is stationed in Ft. Hood, Tex. Mrs. Robert Johnson, Direc tor of the Presbyterian Guid ance Center, participated in the “Experimental High School Day" program at Conway High School on May 1. This was an all day program in which college and high school counselors, uni versity professors, psycholo gists, and psychiatrists dis cussed with the students such topics as Boy Girl Relation ships, Drug Abuse, and Alcohol and Drinking. Mrs. Johnson was accom panied by Mrs. Vilma Page, Co ordinator of Guidance for the Columbia City schools, and Dr. Donald Swanson, Director of the Counseling Bureau at the Uni versity of South Carolina. Mrs. Horace C. Smith and Carlton visited her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Wells in Laurinburg, N. C. on Sunday and Monday, going es pecially to see Mrs. Smith’s new granddaughter, Elliott Lo retta. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin H. Ford of von Park, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. 1. D. Armstrong of GrayCourt nd Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hitt f Anderson visited their mo- tier, Mrs. Eugene Hitt on Mf>- tier’s Day. Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Wilson and daughter, Pam ofCharlotte, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Wil son of Matthews, N. C., Mrs. Helen Tinsley and daughter, Ann, Miss Jean and Klye Ab bott of Greenville, all visited Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson during the past weekend. Col. and Mrs. Robert C. Mc- Lees of Annandale, Va., are spending several days with his mother, Mrs. R. C. McLees. They are enroute to Fort Ben- ning, Ga'., for the commission ing of their son, Michael Mc Lees into the U. S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. William Childs and family of Atlanta, Ga., were here for the weekend with Mrs. John R. Holland. Mrs. Holland accompanied them home to at tend a youth revival being con ducted by her grandson, Bill Childs, at the Forest Park Unit ed Methodist Church. Mrs. J. B. Wilder and Mrs. T. W. Lazenby and son ofChar lotte, N. C. spent Sunday in Mc Cormick with their son and par ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Wild er. Dr. and Mrs. B. 0. Whitten had as their guests over the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jaffe of Beverly Hills, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Jaffe will be on the Art Linkletter program on June 2 at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Theda Swift, who re cently transferred to Green ville from DeMoines, Iowa, vi sited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Thomason on Mother’s Day. Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Cox attended Clemson graduation exercises. Mr. Cox’s nephew, Greddes Marvin Cox HI, a mem ber of the graduating class also received a Second Lieutenant Commission in the field artill ery. Lt. Reed Todd Bolick has returned from a tour of duty in Vietnam. He served there with the First Tank Battalion, First Marine Division. Mr. and Mrs. Leaman Jones and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Jones and family of Co lumbia visited their mother, Mrs. Nancy Putnam in Laurens for Mother’s Day. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Shields returned Friday from a five-day stay in Puerto Val- larta, Mexico, where they at tended a convention of the Cam era Craftsmen of America. The national organization limits its membership to 40 members. Puerto Vallarta is an old fish ing village on the Pacific Coast Mr. Shields will leave Friday for Houston, Tex., where he will address the Houston Guild of Professional Photographers and will conduct courses in pho tography. Miss Carwile, a ’66 Bell Street graduate, a ’67 grad uate of The Automation Insti tute of Newark; Newark, New Jersey and also a ’69 grad uate ofGreenville County School of Nursing is presently employ ed on the Nursing Staff of Whit ten Village at the Intensive Treatment Hospital.
