HERBERT SPA UGH There are three problems which harass men and women to day more than any others. They drive us to the offices of psy chiatrists, and many cases bring us to hospital beds, and in some cases even to self-destruction. They are (1) Believe that no one loves us. (2) A feeling of in security. (3) A sense of guilt. As I review the many prob lems which come to this desk, I find the majority of them falling into one or more of these classi fications. A vital, working, Christian faith holds the answer for all of these problems. gave the beautiful parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15) to show the love which God the Father has for His erring children. “I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. . . “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “And we have known and be lieved the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love casteth out fear. . .We love Him, because He first loved us. (1) Belief that no one loves us. “I will not leave you comfort- Jesus said, “Come unto Me all yf less: I will come unto you. . .Lo, that labour and are heavy laden I am with you always, even unto and I will give you rest." He the end of the world.” (2) A feeling of insecurity. “The Lord is my light, and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall 1 be afraid? “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; no man is able to pluck them out of My Fathers hand. “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. “What shall we then say to thee these things; If God be for us, who can be against us. (3) A sense of guilt. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us < mr sins, and to cleanse us from all unrightousness. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Jesus Christ holds the perfect answer for all of man’s prob lems of body, mind, and spirit. The practice of the Christian gospel in everyday living means health of body, mind, and spirit. St. Paul knew that when he said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me."
