Simp son and Debbie Rose were in Honea Path Sunday for the Gil mer and Rutledge wedding. Miss Pat Fryfogle has return ed from a tour of Europe. After spending last weekend at Pawleys Island, Pat has moved to Char- leston, where she will be teach ing this coming year. Miss Linda Hunter Trice of FayetteviUe, N. C., left for Co lumbia to visit Miss Courtney Robinson, her Vardell Hall room mate, after a visit with her grand mother, Mrs. Earl Workman. Miss Robinson plans to enter Presbyterian College this fall and Linda will be a freshman at Peace College in Raleigh, N. C. Mrs. Robert Wysor, HI, Sarah Lynn and Rob Wysor, Mrs. B. F. Ivey and son, FrarL and Frank Sherrill have joined Mr. and Mrs. John Jordan and family of Kins ton, N. C., for a vacation sta\ at Wrightsville Beach, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Dixon and little son, Brucie, of Walhalla, '•spent the weekend with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dixon and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snow. Misses Lynwood Cox, Mary Lou Simpson, Jane Davis and Pat Davis and Jean Abrams of Joanna left Tuesday for Clem son University, where they will be members of the freshman class. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Plaxico, Miss Nannie Young Tribble, Misses Patti and Nancy Plaxico are spending the week at Bon darken, N. C. Ace Workman, III, is a patient at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood, where he underwent surgery Monday. Mrs. M. C. Poole has returned from a recent trip to Mexico. Some of the places visited were Mexico City, Taxco and Acapulco. While in Mexico City she attend ed the F oik Ballet which depicts the history of Mexico. On her re turn trip through Atlanta, Mrs. Poole visited Six Flags Over Georgia. She also attended the play ‘Happy Times"starringRay Bolger in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Sanders spent the weekend in Nor folk, Va. visiting their son and daughter- in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Marvin L. Sanders. They were accompanied by Mrs. Sally Bridges. While there Mr. Sanders was surprised with a birthday gift and a trip to see the Pittsburg and St. Louis Cardinals play. Becky Sanders who has been spending some time with her brother and family re turned home with Mr. and Mrs. Sanders. Miss Emily Futhey of Wood ward, Pa. is visiting her gi and- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie S. McMil i«<r. Emily is arising junior at juahannah Univer sity. Mrs. Ethel R. Pitts spent last week in Rock Hill with her daugh ter, Mrs. Wayne Jarvis and Mr. Jarvis. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Todd, granddaughter, Suzanne Jones, Thornton Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Brehmer, Larry Breh- mer attended graduation of Fur man University, Greenville on Saturday. Mrs. Thornton Stewart received her M.A. degree at the exercises. Mr. and Mrs. Ryland Sumerel, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Red have re turned from a visit with Mr. Sumerel’s brother and sister-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. MiltonSumer- el in Fort Thomas, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Red also visited friends in Cincinnati, Ohio. Miss Beth McKinnon of Cairo, Ga. is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Henry. Friends of Mr. Henry will be in terested to know he is convales cing at home after being a pa tient at Bailey Memorial Hospi tal several weeks. Mrs. Jacqueline C. Evans and daughter, Miss Pamela Evans of Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. F. M. Cleckley and daughter, Miss Mary Cleckley of Walterboro have been visiting their mother and grandmother, Mrs. J. O. Crout and aunt, Mrs. Edgar Blakely. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hamer, Mr. >nd Mrs. John Addison, and Miss Kathryn Dicus spent last week at Pawley's Island. Joining them during the week were Mrs. Kenneth Fryfogle and Dr. and Mrs. George R. Blalock. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Cooper Jr., and daughters spent a few days last week touring the Outer Banks. Mrs. Randy Huft is in Fair- field, Calif., for a two weeks visit with her mother, Mrs. Eu genia Andronis. Mrs. L. H. Lee, Susan, Hiram, and Nancy spent last week with her parents Dr. and Mrs. Mal colm Macdonald at their summer home in Montreat. Mr. Claude Crocker and son, Claude Jr., went to Atlanta Sat urday to take in “Six Flags." Brewer Dixon and family from Miami Shores, Fla., have been here for a visit with his grand mother, Mrs. C. M. Bailey. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Holland, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holland and children spent last week at Gar den City. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Moore are tanned and relaxed after a week vacation at Sea Island, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond B. Orr and daughter, Debbie, of San Mateo, Fla., have been visit ing his mother, Mrs. Erne- line Shirley. Debbie remained for a longer visit with her grand mother. Mrs. Emeline Shirley was re cently named one of eight direc tors of the National Miniature Dochshund Club of America.
