Terry and Michael Hughes of Gray Court are spending this week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hughes. Mrs. Mattie Bergamy and grandson, David Crowder of Co lumbia, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nelson of Laurens visited Mrs. Hla Harvey, Sunday. William Butler of Charleston spent the weekend with his wife and son in Laurens. On Monday Mrs. William Butler and son, Billy, and Mrs. Walter McAlister accompanied him back to Charleston where he is stationed. Christmas Seal Campaign Opens The Christmas Seal Campaign Is well underway in Area Six after an enormous amount of volunteer work. Bundles of let ters containing contributions are being delivered by the postman daily to the association office. On Friday, John Muir of Co lumbia who is administrative as sistant for the South Carolina TB-RD Association instructed a group of volunteers in the most efficient way to process the re turn mail. Total gifts in this first report amounted to $4,531.55. C. K. Wright of Laurens is chairman of the local commit tee to process returns. Other members of the committee are Mrs. C. K. Wright, Mrs. Ali son Lee, Mrs. Albert Busby and Mrs. W. C. Cullum. This com mittee was assisted by the fol lowing volunteers: Mrs. Mills Hodge and Mrs. S. Frank Tem pleton. Mr. Muir was high in his praise of the dedication and efficiency of TB association volunteers throughout the state. He also noted that the Tutierculosis and Health Association of Area Six probably has more volunteers in volved in the work of the asso ciation than any other area in the state.
