The children, Lisa, Chufk and Anna are visiting their grandparents this weekend while Mr. and Mrs. Brown fly to Phoenix, Arizona to attend a meeting of Jayceepresi- dents of North Carolina. M. Pitts dur ing the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pitts and children of Lynchburg, Va., Mr. and Mrs. P. Mark Pitts and sons of Aiken, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pitts of Columbia. * + * Rev. E. W. Rogers is (inactive duty for training for two weeks with the Navy Department. Adair and son, Jim have returned to Clinton for a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Martin and Mr. and Mrs. 1. Mac Adair. Capt. Adair has just com pleted a 3-year tour of duty in England. On July 15, Capt. Adair will leave for a year’s tour of duty in Korea. Mrs. Adair and son will remain in Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Bunky Blalock are making their home in Char lotte, N. C. where Mr. Blalock has accepted a position with the Charlotte, N. C. National Bank. * * * Mrs. R. W. Owens, formerly of Clinton, and now living in the Presbyterian Home, Summer ville, is visiting friends in Clin ton. * * * Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Sloan have returned from Cambridge, Mass, where they attended graduation exercises at Harvard. Their son, James Sloan, Jr. was a member of the graduating class. The Sloans also visited Mrs. Sloan’s sister, Mrs. J. They were enroute to Greenville to attend the wedding of Miss Eliza beth Ann Timmons and Seaman Charles Lee White. * * * Mrs. Hut>ert Pitts and Miss Florrie Burdett accompanied Mrs. Kathleen Marchant, of Greenville, to Charleston last Thursday to attend the wedding of E. Kenneth Burdette III to Miss Willa Katherine McKee. The wed ding took place in Charleston Bethel Methodist Church Satur day night at 7:30. Kenneth is the great grandson of Mrs. Mar- chant and great nephew of Mrs. Pitts and Miss Florrie Burdette. * * * Dr. and Mrs. Delmar Rhame were in Gainsville, Ga. on Mon day to attend the funeral of Dr. Harold Rhame. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Harry McSween and Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Hamilton were in Greenville Sat urday evening for the Little Thea tre presentation of “Private Lives”. * * * • Mrs. W.
