We have just received a supply of a ver/ useful pub lication entitled “Household Insects.” This publication was recently revised by En- tensioh State Entomologist W. Ci Nettles and his staff. It carries information on ap proximately 40 insects and other pests of the home. It covers ants, roaches, mosqui toes, flees, ticks, clothes moth ami of course many others. Nature of damage, life cycle, and control measures are in cluded on each pest. Another useful and often called* for publication is Bul letin 123 entitled “Growing Fruits at Home.” This bulle- ticn gives information on all fruits grown in the state in cluding strawberries. The recommended varieties, ferti lization, site selection, spray .schedule and a great deal more information is included in the bulletin. A circular Ih great demand U numbered 480, “Care of O.hamehtal Plants.” You know it hasn’t been very long when the old brush broom v'aL used to sweep the yard: and very little shrubbery was used around the home. This isn t the case anv more. Al most all homes n*’W have a lawn ’and ornamental plants surrounding the house. This bulletin gives information on ornamental maintenance such as pruning fertilization, mulching, and etc. Also in cludes selecting and planting.
