Other hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Copeland, Jr., Dainty place cards marked the seating arrangement of the twelve friends present, who were invited into the din ing room. Lovely summer flowers graced the table, and other points of interest in the home. Mr. and Mrs. Payne, who were married in late June, are making their home on Maple Street. Bloodworth-Oswalt Rites On Saturday Miss Susan Bloodworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cur tis Bloodworth, became the bride of Johnnie William Os walt, son of Mr. and Mrs. • Coley Oswalt of Joanna, at - 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. The ceremony took place at the Todd Memorial Presby- ■ terian Church with Rev. John Whither, pastor of the bride, officiating. The wedding mu sic was rendered by the church organist, Mrs. Elliott Holsonback. The bride was given in mar riage by her cousin, Charles Rankin, and had as her maid of honor Miss Evelyn Weath ers of Joanna. For her wedding, the bride chose a white dress featuring a lace bodice with long sleeves and a fuH skirt. Members of the immediate families and close friends at tended the rites. Mac Nabors attended Mr. Osjwalt as best man. The bride attended Hick ory Tavern High School. The bridegroom is a graduate of Clintpn High. PHONE 833-0541 Recent Bride Is Honored With Tea Mrs. Jasper Rowland en tertained Friday afternoon with a lovely tea honoring her new daughter-in-law, Mrs. Walter William Row land, at her home on Hickory Street. The living room mantel held a massive arrangement of magnolia leaves centered with one large white dahlia. E-lsewhere in the living room and hall arrangements of snapdragons and gaza mums; greenery and white IMies were used on the hall table along with the bride’s regis ter. In the den arrangements of day lilies, snapdragons and nasturtiums were placed at vantage points. D a i nt y refreshments of sandwiches, nuts, cheese bis- cuits, cake squares and other party dainties were served with punch from the 'lace-cov ered dining, table which was centered with a large silver epergne of Gaza chrysanthe mums, snapdragons, tuberos es, feverfew and white ta pers.
