Born in Laurens County, son of the late John Joel and Mar garet Hellams Lipford, he was a retired employee of Joanna Mills and a member of Dial Methodist Church at Gray Court. His wife, Mrs. Minnie PeaM Bar rett Lipford, died several years ago. Surviving are a son, J. D. Lip ford of Kinards; two daughters, Mrs. Rosalee Spoon of Charles ton and Mrs. Effie Mae Frady of Kinards; seven grandchildren ... O pv : vo < and four great-grandchildren.
