W. R. TTiomos Dies On Friday Mrs. Sallie Adams Thomas, 71. wife of W. R. Thomas, died early Friday morning at a Clinton hos pital following several years of declining health and an illness of two weeks. A native of Georgia, she had lived in Clinton for the past 38 years and was a member of Bailey Memorial Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Clacton and Elmira Beasley Adams. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Chaney and Mrs. Maggie Mason of Clinton; a fos ter son, Rickey Burroughs of the home; five half-brothers, John ‘McLendon of ML Vernon, Ga., Travis McLendon of Dav enport, Fla., Rommie McLen don of Winter Haven, Fla., J. E. and I. C. McLendon of Clin, ton; two half-sisters, Mrs.. Evelyn Sams of Clinton and Mrs. Leon Thomas of Joanna; and one granddaughter. Funeral services were con ducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bai ley Memorial Methodist Church by Rev. Thomas E. Miller, Rev. Jesse Stephens and Rev. Harold Hanley.
