Coker has resigned his . pastorate of the Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church to accept a call to be come secretary of church exten sion in the Lexington Presby tery of Virginia. Rev. Coker became pastor of the Liberty Springs Church in March of 1961. In addition to serving as pastor he is super intendent of Home Missions and Promotional Secretary for the Presbytery of S. C. Mr. Coker received his B. A. degree from Presbyterian Col lege and his B. D. degree cum laude from Columbia Theologi cal Seminary, Decatur, Ga. Mr. Coker entered the army and served for 4 1-3 years, a part of that time in the European Theatre of Operations. After finishing the Seminary Rev. Coker served as pastor of the Friendship and Rocky Springs Presbyterian churches in Laurens County and Lebanon and Warrenton Presbyterian churches in Abbeville County. Rev. Coker and family will move to Staunton, Va., around Sep tember 1. Col. and Mrs. B. L. Mitchell and daughter, Dixie of McLean, Va. spent several days last wash with Ms mother and sister, Mrs. B L. Mitchell and Miss Char lotte Mitchell, who returned home with them for a visit. Miss Sue Edwards has return ed to her home at Conway,Ark. after visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Simpson.
