Clinton’s deepest penetration of the first arose when Elbert Rice recovered a fumble on the Wood ruff 46. Jack McKittrick, Ken neth Cathey and Joel Whitsel shared the running roles which enabled Clinton to get to the 23. They were held there. Following a punt in the third period, Clinton marched to the Woodruff 4, where fullback Bob by Haskins plunged fnr Athe score. The PAT was no good. The longest plays in this drive was a 23-yard run by Haskins and a 15-yard pass from Whit sel to end Phil Rogers. The Red Devils started a 64- yard march midway of the last quarter and scored with McKit trick’s taking a screen pass from Whitsel and racing for 35 yards. Rogers converted the point after touchdown.
