Mr. and Mrs. Willie Sauls and children Alien and Mary Jane of Preemont, N. C. were guests of the former's sister, Mrs. N. Pierce and Mr. Pierce a few days tike past week. Sgt and Mrs. Coy O’Shields and children formerly of Colum bus, Ga. are spending the week with her mother, Mrs. Stella Mc Lendon and sister, Mrs. Jim Bailey and Mr. Bailey before going to Belvoir, Va., where he will be stationed with the U. S. Army. Harold Coker has completed his basic training with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif., and after several days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Johnson, he ha returned to San Diego for further training. Mrs. Alma Harvey and Miss Maude Harvey spent the week end with the former’s daughter, Mrs. J. W. Turner and Mr. Tur ner in Greenwood. Rev. and Mrs. M. J. Sanders and sons are spending a few days visiting his father, N. J. Sanders, who is ill in the Vet erans Hospital in Lake City, Fla and Mrs. Sanders in Palatka, Fla. Tony Black, SA of the U. S Navy, of Norfolk, Va., is spend ing a 20 day leave with his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Black, Jr. Mrs. Harry Templeton, Misses Darlene and Dianne Templeton and Tommy Huger visited the former’s brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. James Ira Barnett in Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lanford and Johnny were Sunday visi tors in Union. Mrs. Claude Gil strap and son Nathan Gilstrap, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. J.
