SK-3 Terry Rowe, of Little Creek, Va., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Rowe. Mrs. Ruthmane Harper, of Denver, Colo., is visiting her sister, Mrs. Pet Motes, Jr. On Tuesday they were visitors in Augusta. Ga. Miss Robbie Young, Miss Shirley Hedspalh. Bruce Bar ber, of Clinton, and Miss Car- roll Russell, of Joanna, spent last week-end at Ocean Drive Beach. Buddie Murrah. who is sta tioned in Charleston, was a vis itor with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Murrah last week-end. He was enroute to his base from Denbeigh, Va., where he has at tended maintenance school. BM-SN Woodie Alexander, of Little Creek, Va., was the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. V. Alexander, over the week end. He will be leaving Septem ber 11 for a six months cruise on the Mediterranean. Visitors this week of Rev. and Mrs Handley are Mrs. Bryon D. Moody and children, Stevie and Janet, of Norfolk, Va. Mrs. J. L. Delany and daugh ter, Dishy, spent last week at Daytona Beach, Fla. Mrs. Olene Ivey, of Newberry, is a surgical patient at the local hospital. Mrs. Sulie Stewart is a patient at the local hospital where she is undergoing treatment. OLDER YOUTH ENJOY COOK OUT Members of Older Youth Sun day School class of Epworth Methodist Church and their in vited guests enjoyed an outdoor cook out and party on Saturday evening on the back lawn at the home of Miss Elinor Nlver. Miss Brenda Cobb directed the rec reation which included party games and contests. Following the recreation the group enjoyed hamburgers, drinks and cookies. Mrs Lavinia Cooley, teacher of the class, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Niver enjoyed the party along with the group.
