Mr. and Mrs. Andy Hames vis ered dish. After dinner was served picnic style, the choir members and their families assembled in the living room where they had a singspiration. C.. visited Misses Lillie Mae and Floride Rudd several days last week. Mrs. W. S. Atchison returned to her home in Statesville, N. C., Tuesday after being a guest of Mrs. J. H. Atchison. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Shealy had as their recent guests Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin of Columbia, and Mrs. W. D. Pitts of Erskine College, Due West. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Larrimore and children of Hemingway, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Hollingsworth. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hendrix and children of Hartsville, were week end guests of Mrs. M. F. Work man. Mrs. Carl V. Powell and chil dren of Mauldin, spent Thursday in the home of Mrs. B. L. Mitch ell. CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS Little Misses Mary Lou Adair and Eileen Coleman celebrated their 8th birthdays with a joint party at the home of Mary Lou's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Adair, last Tuesday afternoon. Twenty-four little guests came to celebrate the occasion. Mrs. J. H. Coleman, Eileen’s mother, assisted Mrs. Adair in entertaining and serving ice cream and cake. Those from out of town pres ent were Mrs. William Patrick of Charleston; Mrs. W. L. Larri more of Hemingway; Mrs. Frank Young, Sr., and Miss Lula Young of Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Crisp and children are spending the week at Daytona Beach, Fla. James Turner and children of Monroe, N. C., spent the past week-end with Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Martin. Friends of J. B. Cole regret to learn that he is a patient at Self Memorial hospital in Greenwood where he underwent surgery Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Shealy were visitors in Little Mountain last Tuesday. Mrs. C. B. Mills was honored with a surprise birthday dinner Sunday at her home Those enjoy ing the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mills of Gastonia, N. C.; Mrs Griffin Pinson and son. Mrs. Tom Gaston of Woodruff, Mr. and Mrs. Waverly Hill of Enoree, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Gray. Frank Cole of Fayetteville, N. C., spent the past week-end with his mother, Mrs. F. S. Cole. Friends of Mrs. S. M. Leaman will be glad to know she was atie to return home Saturday from the Laurens County hospital where she has been a patient for three weeks.
