Mrs. Ollig Littlefield, of Winns- boro, has been visiting Mrs. Eu gene Hitt. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sanders and sons, Freddo and Vick will be interested to know they have moved to Mullins. They resided on Fifth Avenue and Mr. Sanders attended Presbyte rian College last year. Mrs. John W. Little left yester day to visit her cousin, Mrs. Frank Jordan in Columbia Clyde Bigbee, Jr., has return ed to Travis Air Force Base, Calif., after spending a month’s leave with his parents here .Mrs. Carroll Orr and children, San dra Bigbee, Debbie and David Orr, of Grayville, 111., were also guests last week of the Bigbees. VACATIONING Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Southall left Sunday for a two weeks va cation. They will visit Mr. South all’s parents in Petersburg, Va., and then go to Lakeland, Orlan do and Madison, Fla., where they will be guests of relatives. Ronnie Moore, who attends Western Carolina Teachers Col lege, Cullowhee. N. C., was at home for the week-end. He had as his guest his roommate, Wayne Hedgepath, of Newton, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. John McBride spent the past week vacationing at Myrtle Beach. TO VIRGINIA Mr. and Mrs. V. P. Adair left yesterday for Hampton, Va., where they will stay with their daughter, Miss Vivian Parks Adair for some time. They plan to return to Clinton about the middle of September. Mr. and Mrs. C. Mc Daniel and daughter, Janet. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Friends of Mrs. H. O. Morgan will tje interested to know she has returned home from the Co lumbia Hospital where she un derwent surgery several weeks ago. She will have to remain in a cast for three months then re turn to the Columbia Hospital for further X-rays and possible treatment. AT LITCHFIELD Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Neely va cationed last week at Litchfield Beach. Little Doug Clary, of Mount Pleasant, has been visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Robert S. Owens. His parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Carl Clary and son, Bob, will come today for a few days stay, and will be here at inter vals during their vacation. Mrs Rufus Sadler and daugh ters will return Sunday after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Charles Doherty in New York. They will be accompanied home by Mrs. Sadler's sister. Dr. Frye Leaves For Duty In Tripoli Dr. Joseph Frye, Jr., left Sun day for Gunter Field, Ala., en- route to Tripoli, Uberia, for mil itary service in the Air Force. Mrs. Frye and small sons, James Gray and Joe, III, are spending some time here with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. James S. Gray and will jpin him in Tripoli later Dr. and Mrs. Gray were in Charlotte,. N. C., recently to attend the christening of Joe 3rd and they accompanied them home. Dr Frye is a graduate of Pres byterian College and the Univer sity of North Carolina Medical School, Chapel Hill, N. C. He has recently completed his intern ship in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Zrfto Geer, 87, Former Resident, Dies In Nodli Carolina Mrs. Zilla Geer, 87, died Fri day in Rutherfordton, N. C., aft er a long illness. Funeral services were conduct ed Sunday afternoon at Gil boa Methodist Church, Rutherford ton. Burial was' in the church cemetery. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Archie Dixon and Mrs. Maude Geer of Clinton, Mrs. G. A. Hines of Rutherfordton, and Mrs. Gilbert Dixon of Spindale, N. C.; three sons, Wade Geer of Macon, Ga., John Geer of Co lumbia, and Horace Geer of Val dosta, Ga.; three sisters, Mia. Tom Flack of Rutherfordton, Mrs. H. M. Allen of Alabama, and Mrs. W. O. Geer of Rutbsr- fordton; three brothers, J. flL and F. B. Keeter of Rutherford ton and J. R. Ketter of Saluda, N. C.; 31 grandchildren and 94 great-grandchildren. The Geer family made thsir home here for a number of yean and Mrs. Geer was a member of Broad Street Methodist Church and the Woman’s Society of Christian Service.
