lumbia Hospital where she un
derwent surgery several weeks
ago. She will have to remain in
a cast for three months then re
turn to the Columbia Hospital
for further X-rays and possible
treatment.

Duty In Tripoli
Dr. Joseph Frye, Jr., left Sun
day for Gunter Field, Ala., en-
route to Tripoli, Uberia, for mil
itary service in the Air Force.
Mrs. Frye and small sons,
James Gray and Joe, III, are
spending some time here with her
parents, Dr. and Mrs. James S.
Gray and will jpin him in Tripoli
later Dr. and Mrs. Gray were
in Charlotte,. N. C., recently to
attend the christening of Joe

byterian College and the Univer
sity of North Carolina Medical

er a long illness.
Funeral services were conduct

Methodist Church, Rutherford
ton. Burial was' in the church
cemetery.

Maude Geer of Clinton, Mrs. G.
A. Hines of Rutherfordton, and
Mrs. Gilbert Dixon of Spindale,
N. C.; three sons, Wade Geer of
