Thomason said, were the county home, roads and bridges, clerk of court, pro bate judge, treasurer, and the sheriff's department jail fund, which had been exhausted for three months Flfective July 1 all depart h.inG and oitices ot the county in can operating under a new supply hill, which is the same as that enacted for last year The legislative delegation failed to agree on a supply hill at the re cent session of the General As sembly, which automatically placed the last enacted bill into operation for the new fiscal year Work Underway On Widening And Straightening Highway 308 From City To Expressway Connections The almve scenes show work in progress on Highway from Clinton to its connection with the new four- iane Highway 276 to Greenville. Also nearby is the con nection with Interstate 26 to Columbia and Spartanburg. The Greenville and Columbia routes have been open for some time, but tbe route north to Spartanburg is not yet open. The Highw-ay 308 connections with the new routes will be made more convenient for use from Clinton when rebuilding of the approximately three miles is complet ed.
