County of Laareus Notice is hereby given that a General election for State and County will be held at the voting precincts fixed by law in the County aforesaid on Tuesday, June 13, 1961. to elect a member of the House of Representatives to succeed Hon. Charles J. Hart, deceased. Before the hour fixed for open ing the polls Managers and Clerks must take and subscribe to the constitutional oath. The Managers elect their Chairman and Clerk. The polls shall be opened at such voting places as shall be designated at 8 o’clock in the forenoon, and close at 6 o’clock in the afternoon of the day of election, and shall be held open during these hours without inter mission or adjournment; and the Managers shall administer to each person offering to vote oath that he is qualified to vote at this election, according to the Consti tution of this State, and that be I has not voted during this election. The Managers have the power to fiU a vacancy, and if nohe of the Managers attend, the citizens can appoint from among the qualfiied voters, the Managers, who, after being duly sworn, can conduct the election. At the close of the election the Managers and Clerks must pro ceed publicly to open the ballot box and count the ballots therein, and continue without adjourn ment until the same is complet ed, and make a statement of the results for each office, and sign teh same. Within three days thereafter the Chairman of the Board, or someone designated by the Board, msut deliver to the Commissioners of Election the poll list, the box containing the ballots and written statements of the results of the election.
