Friends will be Interested to know Terry Rushton is recup erating nicely at the home of his unde and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rushton following sur gery at the Medical College Hos pital in Charleston. His mother, Mrs. Reginald Rushton, is with him. Jake and Robert Tinkler, of Ninety Six, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Estes. Mrs. Cecil O’Dell, Mrs. J. D. O'Dell visited the former's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Craft in Silverstreet Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Fulmer and sons, Bob and Gary, visited his mother, Mrs. John Fulmer Sunday in Newberry. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pitts, of Charlotte, visited their parents, >Mr. and Mrs. Cecil O'Dell, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Pitts over the week-end and were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. J. D. O’Dell. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Waits and children, Jenny and Dannie, of New York, and Mrs. J. M. Waits, of Belton, were Tuesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Waits. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Wise visit ed her mother, Mrs. J. D. Lortck Sunday in Lexington. RM-2 and Mrs. Martin Gw inn and children, Billy and pane, of Dixon, Calif., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. P. Thomas and other relatives for a few weeks. They will be stationed at Bain- bridge, Md., following this leave. Mrs. John J. Moore was the Friday oversight guest of her mother, Mrs. W. E. Adams in Columbia. On Saturday she joined Mr. Moore, Dickie and Johnnie for the week-end with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. T. M. Moore in Rembert. Mr. and Mrs. George Morse spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Ada Little in Marshville, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Elliott and family, of Georgetown, spent the week-end with relatives. Mrs. Russdll Gilliam, Mrs. A. S. Holt visited Levi Troutman who is quite ill in Newberry Sunday. Mrs. Alice Layton, of Great Falls, spent Saturday with J. J. Whitmire and family. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bishop, Jamie and Billy, Mrs. McNeal Trotter and Dickie spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Rhinehart. Mrs. Trotter and Dickie also visited Mr. and Mrs. Trotter Saturday. MARRIAGE ANNOUNCE MENT Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Calvin Gruber, of Joanna, announce the marriage of their daughter, Lin da Irene, to Johii Pat Wise, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pat Wise, on Friday, May 5 at the parsonage of the officiating min ister, Rev. John W. Warren. Mrs. Wise choee for her wed ding dress a spring green cot ton ensemble with beige acces sories and matching corsage. The dress featured a high round neck line with three quarter length sleeves and pleated shirt. The young couple are now residing with the groom’s parents on Whitmire Highway in Joanna. MOTHER’S DAY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. Harold Russell were host Sunday to a Mother’s Day dinner honoring both their mothers. Osborne and children. Miss Carroll Russell and Ricky of Joanna. FAMILY GATHERS FOR MOTHER’S DAY The family of Mrs. Ella Hair gathered at her home Sunday honoring her on Mother's Day. Each family remembered her with a nice gift. A bountiful din ner was enjoyed. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Hair and daughters, Miriam and Nan cy of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Hair, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Hair of Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Nobles and children, Mar sha and Mike of Newberry, Les ter Hair, Miss Ruth Hair and Wendell Hair of Joanna, Mr. and Mrs. F. M.
