Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Handley and daughter, Geraldine, were recent week-end visitors of Rev. and Mrs. Howard J. Handley. Mr. and Mrs. James Floyd and children were Saturday shopping visitors in Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Ruff and daughter, Janice, and Miss Cornelia Martin visited RCT Bobbie Ruff at Fort Jackson on Friday. Bobbie left on Saturday for Fort Bliss, Texas, where he will be stationed for the next few months. Jerry Lewis, a student of Ers- kine College, Due West, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Her- l>ert Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Caldwell spent last week in Houston, Tex as, where they visited their daughter, Mrs. J. C. Stroud, who is a surgical patient at the Meth odist Hospital. Mrs. Alma Boyce, Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Mixon and children, Petey, Coleen and Kenny, of Sumter, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Z. Rogers. Douglas Lollis, who is attend ing Erskine College, Due West, spent several days with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Clifton Lollis. VISIT CHILDREN’S HOME On Sunday 17 Juniors and older Primaries of Epworth Methodist Sunday School enjoy ed a trip to the Methodist Chil dren’s Home in Columbia. They carried a nice box of gifts for the home. They attended the morning worship service, had a tour of the home and also had dinner at the home. Those accompanying the chil dren on the trip were Mrs. Joy Abrams, Mr. and Mrs. Hack Prater, Mrs. Hubert Godfrey, Mrs. Pope Moates, Mrs. Rudolph Prater and Harmon Murrah, Jr. CHURCH OF GOD HAS REVIVAL Revival aervices are now in progress at the Church of God in Joanna and will continue through December 3. The pas tor, Rev. Howard J. Handley, extends a cordial invitation to the public to attend these ser vices. There will be a different speaker each evening and also special music and singing be ginning at 7 p. m. Wbrne and bring some one with you. SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS HAS PARTY The Older Youth Sunday School class of Epworth Meth odist Church enjoyed a Thanks giving party on Saturday eve ning at the home of Mrs. La vinia Cooley. Several party games were enjoyed. Final plans were made for the ap proaching Christmas party. Re freshments were served the group. W. S. C. S. TO MEET The Woman’s Society of Chris tian Service will meet on Tues day evening, December 6 in the Educational Buildirig at 7 p. m. Final plans will be made for the Christmas party.
