C, Thursday, May 22, 1958 Number 21 96 to Receive Diplomas , From Clinton High School Baccalaureate Sermon Sunday Night Two Magistrate Candidates Lett 1958 Graduating Class at Clinton High School Commencement exercises for Clinton High School will continue Sunday evening at 8 o’clock when the baccalaureate service will be held in the high school auditorium. 1 The sermon will be preached by \ Dr. W. Redd Turner, pastor of the F'irst Presbyterian Church Graduation exercises will take place Monday evening at the same time. , The 1958 commencement season began Tuesday morning with class day exercises when the class poem, history, will, and prophecy were »read by members of the class, the class gift presented, and gifts made to several teacher-advisers of the class. The service Sunday evening will include a prelude, processional, doxology, invocation by Dr. D. J. Woods, two hymns, music by the girls’ glee club, prayer by Rev. G. H. Hodges. Scripture reading by Dr. C. B. Betts, and the bene diction by Rev Fred Harmon. The graduation exercises on Monday evening will feature a con cert of three numbers by the high school band, invocation by David Cromer, speeches by the president of the class. Mike Cooley, the sa- ytiUtorian, Cecil Davenport, and the two valedictorians who were tied for first place in scholarship during their high school careers.
