Mr. and Mrs. Dan Yarborough, Jr., and children returned Monday to Clemson after spending the East- er holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Yarborough, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Bonds Workman. Mrs. L. A. Tatum of Monroe, La., and Mrs. Grady Henderson of Killeen, Texas, were recent guests of >lr. and Mrs. J. W. Moore. Billy Smith, sophomore at Clem son, has resumed his studies after spending the Easter holdiays with his parent, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde H. Smith. 1 Friends of W. G. King will be in terested to know he is convalescing at the General hospital, Greenville, following an operation illness and expects to return to his home to morrow. The King’s daughter, Mrs. Alex Cruickshanks, Mr. Cruick- shanks and son, Sandy, of Colum bia, will spend the week-end here. Betsy, Molly and Johnny Finney of Myrtle Beach, spent the Easter holidays with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Finney. Misses Lillian Hart, Florence Winn, Emily Bailey, students at Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Ga., spent the week-end at their homes here. Miss Hart is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. J. B. Hart of Joan- f na; Miss Winn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton F. Winn; and Miss Bailey, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Bailey. Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Wrenn, Jr., have returned to Cherry Point, N. C., where he is stationed with the Marine Corps, after spending the Easter holidays with their pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Wrenn, Mr. and Mrs. V. E. Simmons. Mrs. A. H. McQueen of Lons, has been spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Pinson. Mr. McQueen accompan ied her here for the week-end. Miss Irene White of Washington, D. C., and her fiance. Sgt. Leroy J. Crawford, of Andrews Air Force , Base, Washington, were here for the week-end with her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery are an uncle and aunt of Mr. Cornelson. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hart of Greenwood, on Sunday visited the former's mother, Mrs. W. S. Hart, who is spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. E. B. Pinson, and family. Mrs. Goyne L. Simpson returned Tuesday from Charleston where she has been visiting her sister, Mrs-.- George Hesse, and Mf. Hesse. Mr. and Mr. R. H. Brown, ac companied by their daughter, Mrs. Ralph Hembree, and Mr. Hembree of Laurens, spent Sunday in New berry with Mrs. Brown’s mother, Mrs. C. M. Folk. Hub Adair, Robert Neely and Ed Pitts left Tuesday to resume their studies at the University of South Carolina after spending the Easter holidays at their homes here. Prather on Sunday visited Mr. Franks, who is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Columbia. E Vaughn. Friends of Mi. and Mrs. E E. Harrison will be pleased lo know they are able to be out again after an extended illness dut to wreck injuries. Mrs. William DeVenter returned Tuesday to her home in Provi dence. Rhode Island, after being called here due to the death of her aunt, Mrs. B R Austin. Also here dunng the week were R L. Young attended a district Kiwanis Ann Neighbors, Betty Jane Hamer,, meeting on Monday evening in Jennie Addison, and Sara Pitts were among Winthrop College stu dents spending the holidays at their homes here. Eugene Anderson of Anderson, visited his father, E Frank Ander son, and other relatives here on Sunday. Miss Mary Turner of High Point, N. C., is spending some time with her sister, Mrs D. A. Yarborough, aid Mr Yarborough Rock Hill Mrs Carroll White Copeland and Mrs. R E Sadler spent yesterday in Rock Hill with the former’s mother. Mrs. D Hope Sadler Harold Coleman, Jr, is conva lescing at his home after a stay at the General hospital in Greenville. Friends of Earl Woodruff will be interested to know he is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Colum bia. ' Friends of John F. Norris will be interested to know his condition has improved~at the General hospital in Greenville, where he has been a patient since Friday.- Mrs. Gary Holcombe and Mrs. Mac Poole were in Campobello yesterday for the funeral of the former’s aunt, Mrs. G. W. Wright. Friends of Louie Thomley will be glad to know he is improving at the Veterans hospital, Columbia, where he has been a patient the past week. Mrs. Thomley spent yesterday with him — Henry Chandler, of Washington, D. C., is spending ten days holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Grady Chandler. He will return to Washington Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lindsay and children, of Bennettsville, spent the week-end with Mrs. Lindsay’s moth er, Mrs. R. S. Horton. Also joining the family on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dan McCartney and daughter, Anita, of Laurens.
