People You Know Items of Interest Concerning Clinton Residents Mrs. Bill Blalock and daughters, Susan and Valerie, of Holly Hill, spent several days recently with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. B. T, Fuller. Mrs. Jobe Nabors attended the funeral of her niece, Mrs. Verna Abrams, in Newberry on Sunday. She was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nabors. Miss Liizie Lou Young left last week for a several weeks stay at Hot Springs, Ark. Mr. and Mrs. F. N. Bowden and family, Miss Alice Neighbors of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Nabors of Joanna, spent Sunday with their mother, Mrs. R. P. Na bors. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Loftis, Miss Nannette Loftis of Greenville, and Sheldon Anderson of Donaldson Air Force Base, GreenviUe, were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Bill McMurray in Swaananoa, N. C. Mrs. Frances Salerno of Bennetts- ville, was the guest on Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Murphey Timmer man. Mrs. Joe Cutchins of Isle of Palms, is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. L. Marshall, Jr., and grand mother, Mrs. C. M. Bailey, for a few days. Mrs. Marshall was at the Isle on Tuesday and Wednesday and was accompanied home by her daughter. Mrs. G. C. Barnett and Mrs. Ches ter Padgett of Charlote, N. C., spent Saturday with their mother, Mrs. Jobe Nabors. Mrs. H. M. Shields has returned from a stay with her son and da ugh ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shields in Lynn Haven, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Young had with them the past week-end their son, Davis, and Mrs Young, of Conyers, Ga., their daughter, Mrs. Romayne Hamilton, Mr. Ham ilton and children, of Laurens. Friends of Mr. Young will be glad to know he is improving at home after a few days stay at Blalock Clinic. Rev. and Mks. Carl Clary, of Co lumbia, spent Friday with the lat ter’s mother, Mrs. Robert S. Owens Mrs. J. H. Stone. Mrs Nene D Workman and Mts W. W. Harris recently attended a Piedmont dis trict meeting and luncheon at Clem- son. ** Miss Elaine Addison, freshman at Duke University, Durham. N. C., will arrive Saturday to spentf a week’s spring holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Ad dison. She will have as her guest her roommate, Miss Patricia Bur- riss, of New Orleans, La. Mrs. H. E. Sturgeon went for the week-end to Charleston where she was joined by her daughter,' Miss Jane Sturgeon, of Durham, N. C., and they were guests of their son and brother, Elwyn Sturgeon and Mrs. Sturgeon. Mrs. J. W. Bobo, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bobo, Jr., and children, and Miss Emmie Bobo, of Washington, Ga , visited their daughter and sister, Mrs. R. J. Tankersley and Mr. Tankersley on Sunday. Miss Mar garet Tankersley, of Winthrop, and Warren Kendrick, of Columbia, also spent Sunday here. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott H. Hall, of Greenville, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Rowland, of Charleston, visited the former’s mother, Mrs. E. H. Hall the past week-end. On Sunday they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Thom as R. Rowland, of Laurens. The Rev. and Mrs. J. P. Roque- more. Pete, Gamble and Sara Alice were week-end guests of Mrs. Roquemore’s mother, Mrs. G. E. Gamble, in Turbeville. While away they attended the golden wedding reception of her uncle, N. B. Hicks, Sr., and Mrs. Hicks in Timmons- ville. P Epting and Mrs. Maggie Sheely of Pomaria, were guests Saturday of their broth er, O. H. Sheely, and family. Mrs. S. E. Wells of Coronaca, vis ited Mis Thelma Wells and sisters the past week-end.
