C-, Saturday. Aaron King, iwho has made his home with the Adams the past four years, returned to North Carolina to make his home. Mrs. Henry Lawson and children and Henry Lawson, Jr., visited Mrs. Lawson’s mother, Mrs. Giles Smith, in Buffalo Sunday. Mrs. Richard Moore was called to Atlanta, Ga., last week due to the illness of her mother, Mrs. H. C. Flynn. Miss Alma Spillers is attending music week at Ridgecrest, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Trammell and children have returned home after vacationing in the mountains of North Carolina. Mrs. Ora Wood, J. D. Williams and Miss Leallen Williams visited Jack Williams in Columbia hos- with a number of gifts on this hap py occasion. Completes Basic Training Pvt. Richard Wallenzine has completed sixteen weeks of basic training at Fort Jackson and is spending a ten day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wal lenzine. Upon completion of his leave Pvt. Wallenzine will go to Fort Bragg, N. C., where he will be with the psychological warfare center. Brotherhood Meets The Brotherhood of Calvary Bap tist church held its regular month- jly meeting at the church Monday evening. The president, Grady Smith, presided and James Duna way led an interesting program on Stewardship, with R. P. Harris giv ing the deotional. The Brotherhood is having a chicken stew Saturday and all men of the church who are interested are asked to contact any member of the organization.
