M. Buff, in Hickory, N. C., and relatives in Rutland, Mass., last week. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. League and children spent several days last week in the Cherokee mountains and attended the pageant, “Unto These Hills.” Mrs. J. M. Bozard and Miss Mil dred Bozard visited Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Cash in Cowpens last week and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Griffin in Pendelton. Mrs. Moody Johnson and Miss Elizabeth Ann Howe are spending several days in Spartanburg this week as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Howe. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bagg and daughter, Ann, visited relatives in Hiwassee Dam, N. C., several days during vacation week. An uncle of Mrs. Bragg, Tom Saunders, ac companied them home for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Humphries and Mike, were Sunday guests of the former’s brother, Bailey Hum phries, and Mrs. Humphries in Rock Hill. Mrs. Sonny Mode and children visited Mrs. Mode’s sister in Pine- ville, N. C., several days last week and Mr. Mode joined the family for the wek-end. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Abrams and children, Linda and Jim, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hunnicutt, Dale and Jackie, spent last week at Put nam’s Landing on Lake Murray. Ms. Charlie Coleman and Her man Coleman spent several days last week visiting their son and brother, Fred Coleman, in Texas Mrs. Joe Abrams is spending this week in Lyman with Mr. arid Mrs Sherman Reid. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Willingham, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Willingham, Mesdames Otis Murphy, Louis Murphy and Harold Murphy at tended the funeral of Earl Taylor in Newberry Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hogan and sons were guests last week of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Buff, in Hickory, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. C., and the Cherokee mountains the past week. During the vacation week Mr. and Mrs. Marion Boyce and sons, Tommy and Ray, visited Mr. Boyce’s father in Sumter and points of interest ’ i the Cherokee mountains last week. Ms. John Fulmer of Newberry, spent the week-end with her son, James Fulmer, and Mrs. Fulmer. Mrs. Joe Abrams spent a few days in Anderson last week visit ing her sister, Mrs. Cecil Radford, and Mr. Radfod. M. and Mrs. Norman Floyd and sons spent Wednesday at Folly Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lyons and Mary vsited' relatives in Elkin, N. C., several days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bragg, Jr., and daughter, Sue, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Prater and daughter, Cindy, are spending the week at Daytona Beach, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jacks and Sheila, Mr. and Mrs. Deri Jacks and children, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Moore were among the fhany vacationing at Folly Beach. •Mrs. Annie Gunter and Neal Ste vens of Aiken, are spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ab rams. James Lovelace spent last week in Largo, Fla., with his daughter, Mrs. Dannie Howard and Mr. How ard. Mr. and Ms. C. C. Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Howard and small son, Curt, accompanied Mr Lovelace home on Friday for the week-end. Chief Petty Officer Colie Gruber of Nofolk, Va., is spending a 21- day leave with Mrs. Gruber and Mr. and Mrs. James Lovelace. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Anderson spent last week in Palm Harbor, Fla., visiting relatives. Misses Hilda Oxner and Elaine Franzen vacationed at Riviera Beach, Fla., last week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sineath and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Kilian visited in Atlantic City, N. J., during va cation week. Mr. and Mrs. Sineath celebrated their 13th wedding an niversary on July 4. - Ronie Sineath spent last week in Calhoun Falls with Mr. and Mrs Dewitt Looney. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Templeton and Gail of Calhoun Falls, and Pvt Jimmie Templeton of Ft .Lee, Va., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. O’Dell part of the vacation week Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Crapps and children, Mrs S. S. Kennington, Calvin Owens and son, Keith, were Saturday visitors in Salisbury, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hair, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Waits spent sev eral days in Gatlinburg, Tenn., last week. Misses Betty Zane and Dianne Longshore are visiting relatives in Newberry this week. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil O’Dell, Sue and Jeff spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Craft in Chappells. Mrs. O’Dell and Ms. Craft visited in Greenwood in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. James Timmerman spent the holidays at Daytona Beach, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Owens and childen were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Medlock in Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Nora Boyce was a patient at the local hospital last week. Boyce Oyner is a patient at Jo anna hospital. On July 6th Mrs. Ruby Medlock of Kinards underwent surgery at Joanna hospital. Fellowship Hour Held On Sunday evening, July 5, fol lowing the evening worship hour, twenty young people met in the educational building for Youth Fel lowship.
