Mrs. Mauney was before marriage Miss Louise Bentley of Georgia.' J. Dewey Mills Passes Suddenly J. Dewey Mills, 54, died suddenly Thursday night at his home on the Spartanburg highway. He was a native of Laurens county, where he spent most of his life. A ! son of J. A. and the late Mrs. Frank Mills, he was a veteran of World War I and served overseas, a mem ber of the famous Rainow Division. He was a member of the Lydia Mill Presbyterian church and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nellie Sterwart Mills of Lydia Mills; his father, J. A. Mills of Spartan burg; two sisters, Mrs. W. L. Mc- Minn of Spartanburg and Mrs. John K. MdFarland of Ashboro, N. C.; two brothers, Troy of New York City and Collie Mills of Niagara Falls, N. Y. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Lydia Mills Prsebyterian church by the Rev. Stanley Hardee and the Rev. Glenn Robinson. Interment was in Rosemont cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the local American Legion Post. EASTERN STAR TO MEET FRIDAY s The regular monthly meeting of the James B.
