About 35,000 Egyptians got the notes assuring them they would be protected, housed and fed if they stick with the British. Corbett-Roberts Wedding Solemnized At Lisbon Church Miss Marjorie Jean Corbett, only j daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Corbett of Mountville and Clayto Lamar Roberts, son of Mrs.' Clay to Lamar Roberts and the late Mr. Roberts of Anderson, were united in marriage at 4:30 Satur day afternoon, October 20, at the Lisbon Presbyterian church, Mount ville, in a double ring ceremony with the Rev. George A. Anderson officiating. , The vows were spoken before the chancel, overlaid in white with a tracery of ivy, pine and magnolia. Floor baskets of gladioli were ar ranged around the altar which was lighted by candles. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Malvin Williams played several se lections • and Mrs. William McNeil sang “Because”, “I Love You Tru ly” and ?The Lord’s Prayer”.
