Group singing, music, games and refresh ments were enjoyed until 11:30, then Jimmy Stewart led an impressive candle-light service. The bride, witn ner blonde beauty, i was lovely in a light grey gabardine suit with navy blue accessories. She wore a corsage of pink carnations. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. j John Longshore. The groom chose for his best man, John Longshore.' Mrs. Evans is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Merchant of Jo anna and finished her schooling in ter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, national social fraternity, following the recent rush week activities on the Furman University campus The son of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Wilder of this city, Donny is a grad uate o f the local high school where he was president of the senior class, president of the student body, editor of the school paper, and since his en trance to Furman he has been serv ing as assistant sports editor of THE HORNET, Fuiman’s school paper. Hotel Stockholders At Lourens Paid Liquidating Dividends (Says The Laurens Advertiser). Approximately $85,000 is being paid out in liquidating dividends to stockholders of the Laurens Com munity Hotel, Incorporated, it was stated yesterday by L. C. Barksdale. Actually, the money represents a return of a part of the investment made in the hotel enterprise four years ago after plans were abandon ed in early December to abandon the enterprise. The payment, Mr. Barks dale said, is about 70 per cent on the dollar and represents most osf the cash on hand after expenses have been paid and before total liquida tion of the remaining assets. In the assets is included a lot for which the corporation paid $15,000.
