Payne, in com T pliment to Miss Ann Blakely whose wedding took place Saturday. A pink and white color scheme was effectively carried out in the appointments and refreshments for the party which assembled about twenty-five friends of the honor- ee. Roses, sweet peas, hydrangeas and gladioli were included in the floral decoration. The tea table overlaid with a cut work cloth, was centered with a milk glass epergne containing pink hydrangeas gardenias. Miss Ethel Hunter served pink rose ice cream molds with cake, mints and punch. A color scheme oh green and white was carried out in decorations throughout the house and also used in the refreshments. The honor guest was presented a corsage of white carnations and little silver bells tied with green ribbon were pinned on the guests. During the afternoon games were enjoyed and later a green and white umbrella filled with many lovely and useful gifts were presented Miss Jones. Morris, Jr. The Mr. Anderson, pastor of the Presbyter ian church in Mountville, officiated using the double ring ritual in the presence of relatives and close friends. Mrs. Anderson furnished the wed ding music, with a selection softly rendered during the ceremony. Billy t Roughton served as best man. and Mrs. Billy Roughton at tended the bride as matron-of-hon- or. The vows were spoken before an improvised altar of floor baskets of mixed summer flowers. The brunette bride was attrac tively attired in a navy blue chif fon-voile dress, white lace hat with navy velvet trim and a navy feather, with navy and white accessories. Her corsage was a white, brown- throated orchid. Immediately after the ceremony, rice was thrown by the wedding guests as the bride and bridegroom left for a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach.
