Tuesday Club Has Meeting The Tuesday bridge club met this week at the home of Mrs. Bailey ‘Williams for a number of afternoon games. Two tables were appointed for re freshments in a setting of white chrysanthemums and a dessert Mrs. W. A. Gladioli with other flowers of the seasn were decorative in the living room and a white floral ar rangement in keeping with the chosen motif centered the dining table. A three-course steak dinner was served. , Guests for the party included Joe McGee, Thomas and Harry Baldwin, Fred Pitts and Allen Knight of Belton. Mrs. Jacobs Hostess To Study Club Mrs. J. F. Jacobs entertained the Wednesday Study club last week at her home on Calvert avenue. Contin uing a study of the ‘ Seaports of the World,’’ Mrs. Jacobs presented a most interesting program on the Chinese seaport “Shanghai” when she discussed its history, people and political outlook. She also told the story of blue willow ware, which was first made in China. Later the guests were invited in to the dining room where a salad course was served in buffet stvle from a beauiifully appointed table adorned with vari-colored chrysan themums arranged in a blue com pote.
