The Tuesday bridge club met this
week at the home of Mrs. Bailey

Mrs. Jacobs Hostess
To Study Club
Mrs. J. F. Jacobs entertained the

her home on Calvert avenue. Contin

Chinese seaport “Shanghai” when
she discussed its history, people and
political outlook. She also told the
story of blue willow ware, which
was first made in China.

vance of her fifth birthday, which
occurred November 7, Barbara El

hood playmates to help celebrate
the occasion.
After a number of games the
children gathered around the dec
orated cake to sing “Happy Birth
day”. Mrs. C. B. Kugler was as
sisted in serving ice cream and cake
by Mrs. Thurston Giles, and Mrs.
Phil Thornton. Each guest receiv
