Among the announced appoint ments to the Legion’s State Com mittees, coming out of State Com mander Alfred J. Plowden’s office, was that of Walter A. Johnsoi) to the Americanism committee and £arlton F. Winn to that of Sons of the Le gion. i R. P. It is our opinion that the majority of people who keep us in business are not willing to pay such prices for entertainment. The motion picture has always been the cheapest good entertainment available, and the only one for many of our patrons. We would not feel that we were playing fair with our customers if we did not fight this new tendency to ovA-charge for pictures which, while goqg, are certainly not so far above the rest.
