After a number of games refreshments were served by Mrs. O’Shields asssisted by Mrs. Melvin Satterfield, Pepsi-Cola, sweet crackers, potato dhips and candy were enjoyed by all present. Sharon received many lovely gifts. Mrs. Edward Williams honored Mrs. Jessie Thomas with a shower on Friday evening. After the games were enjoyed the hostess assisted by Mrs. Lewis Oakley, served refresh ments which consisted of pepsi-cola, sandwiches, potato chips and sweet crackers. A few close friends of the couple witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Brown is the daughter of Mrs. Laura Darby and Mr. Brown is the son of Mrs. Bessie Brown. After a few days stay in Hendersonville, N. C., they are now making their' honpe with Mr. Brown’s mother. Bible School Closes The vacation Bible school of Lydia Baptist church came to a close with a special service Sunday evening. Each department gave a brief dem onstration of their work, after which pupils having a satisfactory record of attendance and work were given certificates.
