James and fam- A special alumni luncheon will be held in the dining hall at noon, fol lowed by briefs talks and the elec tion of alumni officers for the com ing year. The feature attraction fiar the day will be the gridiron clash at 8 o’clock in the evening between the Blue Stocking eleven and the strong selec tive service team from Spartanburg's Camp Croft. The game with\Camp Croft was scheduled last week to re place the one scheduled for this date with Oglethorpe which was cancel led by'Oglethorpe. The Georgia school requested that the game be called off since six of its linemen have been inducted into the army and several other players are out from injuries. ^ The Croft gridders will be one of the Hosemen’s strongest opponents of the season. The game will be wit nessed by a large tvun-out of Camp Croft soldiers who, it is stated, will be furnished transportation here.
