The American Library Association, repre sent inp some 5.000 repositories of hooks, is formulating a vigorous cam paign to extend facilities to remote districts and arouse keener interest generally in the advantages of good reading. ’ It Is chiefy planned to bring to the attention of those who read little, hooks dealing with present-day top ics and problems. To this might welt be added earnest effort to stimulate a more general reading of history and of American biography.
