The attendants Were Miss Azalie Dabney, who woie a dress of pale green tulle over white fatin, and carried pink carnations, and little Misses Edna and Gladys Snipes who were dressed in white. The bride and groom entered togeth er, the bride being handsomely gowu ed in white crepe meteor with trim mings of Irish lace and pearls, ner veil being caught with orange bios soms. Her flowers were white carnn tions. The wedding march was play ed by Miss Chic Bissett. Immediate ly after the ceremony an informal re foption was held and refreshments being served. Mr Edward Haines, a, former Flor entine, now located at Jacksonville, Fla., and who is now connected with one of the War Boards, tpent Thurs ay in Florence, calling on old friends and bakin new ai'-nuy'.antances. Mr. rfadnei is a son of the Mr. Daniel W., and Mrs. Haines formerly of this city. The senior Mr. Haines was once in- lendent of the town of Florence, and was Master Mechanic of the old'shops of the North Eastern Railroad and later -for the Wilmington, Columbia 1 and Augusta shoos, when they were first moved to this city. Mr. Haines was most agreeably surprisetd to find in the twenty years of his ab sence that Florence had grown to be such a tine city amLwith so many fine business! iliouses and loveiy homer. B. Harper at her home on West Cheves street, the new president, Mrs. W. D. Harper presiding and opening the meeting with a Scripture reading. This being the first meeting of the societys new year, many plans for the years work were discussed. Among other things the society decided to buy a piano for the ladies parlor of the church, which will be quite an addi tion to this already attractive room. After adjournment a salad course was served. LEGGITT BOSTICK DEAD News has been received of the death of Mr. Leggitt Bostick, son of Mrs. Bostick of New Zion. The body will be shipped from the West to New Zion for burial there Sunday. Several instances of the loss of tires from machines has been reported to the authorities within the past several days and arrests have been made.
