In failing to provide for the con tinuance of the Federal Employment Service, at least for a time, Congress has made a mistake. If i.he assist ance of this organization ever were needed, it is now when thousands of soidiers are being turned into civil life without jobs to go to. Up to this time the Employment service has been active in finding places for these men, and has located many of them in good positions. In Florence the * labor bureau has been of great ser vice, and we hope Congress may find some Way of providing for its con tinuance. the general membership.
