Calder, of Scranton, are in the city on bus iness. Messrs. Willie Murchison, Geo. Holliday, L. C. Oliver and J. 1). Murchison passed through Flor ence this morning on their wey home from the races at Green wood. Mr. H. L. Wilson, of Timmons* ville, is spending the day in the city. Mr. VV’iLon is an old con federate soldier, and still bears the mark of a wound received during the war. Mr. W. N. Marchant, former member of the board of visitors, S. C. The hounds, as stated yesterday, were taken to the scene by Messrs. Jno. E. and J.T. Dennis. About 10.30 o’clock they reached Chadbourn and were immediately talten to the office. Gasque, who is ou the sick list. Mrs. T. C. Willoughby and chil dren have returned from Franklin, Ky. Mrs. Willoughby is much improved in health- Mr. Jas. W. Johnson returned last evening from Sullivan’s Is land. where he has been for the benefit of his health. Miss Mamie McLendon left for Darlington last night. Before re turning home she willvisit Gaffney City and Spartanburg. Miss Daisy Smith, who has been spending some time with Miss Sophie Kuker, returned last eve ning to her home in Timmons vilie. Mr. F. W. Klintworth, who has been filling operator Whilden’s place during his absence, has re. turned to his home at St. Ste jihens. Mr. 8. F. Parrott, of Darlington, passed throogh the city last eve ning on his way to Colombia.
