Evans’ “game It matters not who did or did not favor the Senatorial campaign, the sickness of Senator McLaurin proves that it has been a positive affliction. All the way through it has been barborously hard on speak ers and audiences. “The rules governing the Demo cratic primary require that your name must be enrolled on your club list at least five days before the election in order to entitle you to vote. If not you are not allowed to vote. You had better be sure your name is on the club list for while you may feel somewhat in different at present when the elec tion comes off you may particularly desire to vote. See that your name is on your club roll.” The foregoing is reproduced from the Newberry Herald and New’s, and needs no comment. MR. McLAURIN’S CONDITION. A Week at Least Before It Will be Prudent for Him to Speak. (News and Courier.) Columbia, S. C., August 17.— Senator McLaurin is still at his home at Bennettsville, and advices from there to-day say that he is not improving very rapidly. Dr. Jennings, the physician who is at tending the Senator, gives this statement of the case: “Senator McLaurin’s condition has been one of great physical prostration, at tended by symptoms of impending cerebral trouble of the gravest na ture. I have had to insist, there fore, upon absolute quiet as essen tial to his recovery. Under the most favorable circumstances week at least must elapse before it will be prudent for him to leave his room.” Itch on human, mange on horses dogs and all stock, cured in 30 mimutes by Woffort’s Sanitary Lotion. BECAUSE Provision is made for the support of members who reach old age, when the probabilities are they will have no one dependent upon them, but will themselves be dependent upon others. BECAUSE Our premium is divided into twelve equal parts, and you have the option of paying it monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annual ly, without extra cost. BECAUSE In our laws we do not make i itiation and lodge attendance e sential to membership. BECAUSE We offer insurance simply for protection, and the annual difter- ence in the cost of our plan and that of the “old line” companies, properly invested, will double any dividend or cash surrender offered by the “old line” companies. BECAUSE The Knights of Damon have paid all legitimate claims promptly, and will continue to do so. BECAUSE You do not know how soon your family may need our protection, and since death may be immediate, protection should be immediate. B. N. RICHBOURG, Special Deputy. Paint! Paint!! Paint!!
