COTTON ASSOCIATION I STARTS BIG DRIVE ' * r ? * On Thursday, July 15, an Intensive sj;atq-wtde campaign will be launched, under the auspices of the South Carqlina Division of the American Cotton .Association, the Extension Porce?.of Clemson College, the South Cardlina Warehouse Commission and the United States Department'of i^Ticulture. The campaign is for tlie purpose of securing more members .of the American Cotton"Association; tha se7 curing of funds for the erection of cotton warehouses itf every county and the securing of funds with whioh a to c-mnlov cotton Erailers In every ? county. I There will be three state-Wide meet- n ings, the first at Anderson on July 15 at which Snator Dial, Hon. A. F. n Lever and J. Skottowo Wannamaker, c president of the American Cotton As- n sociatlon, will speak; the second at Orangeburg, July 16 to be addressed by Governor Cooper, W. H. Stone of " the Manufacturers Record, Col. T. J-. . Shackleford and J. S. Wannamaker, and the third at* Kershaw on July 17 .. to be addressed by Hon. A. .F. LeVer, J. A. Evans and J. Si Wannamaker. Following these meetings, there will be three meetings held in each county.
